About Pycora

Pycora is a Python static site generator built by Axcora Technology — a sovereign web architect and AI research lab established in 2018. We are not a template vendor. We architect zero-bloat JAMstack systems in 8 languages, and Pycora is our Python answer to Jekyll and Eleventy.

Why We Built Pycora

Jekyll needs Ruby. Eleventy needs Node. Both bring dependency hell — version conflicts, gem failures, bundler errors, and build pipelines that break every few months.

We wanted something simpler. Something that runs on the language we already use every day: Python.

So we built Pycora. Pure Python 3.8+. Jinja2 templating. Markdown + YAML frontmatter. One command — python ssg.py — and your site is stone.

What Makes Pycora Different

Pure Python, Zero Runtime

No Node. No Ruby. No npm. No gem. If your machine runs Python, it runs Pycora. That means: - Deploy anywhere — Cloudflare Pages, Vercel, GitHub Pages, Netlify, or plain NGINX - Zero hosting cost — output is pure static HTML - Zero attack surface — no runtime, no database, no server-side code

Two Engines, One Bloodline

Pycora ships with two engines:

Nyiblorong — the first incarnation. Simple and quiet, like early Jekyll. Markdown + YAML frontmatter, Jinja2 with extends, Bootstrap 5. It just builds.

Medusa — the evolved engine. Inspired by Jekyll and Eleventy, but Python-native. Supports PAX layout, full Jinja2, Axcora CSS injection, and SEO/OpenGraph/JSON-LD out of the box.

The Medusa Gorgon Principle

Medusa does not create — she petrifies. Pycora does the same: it takes your living Markdown and freezes it into immutable HTML. No database, no runtime, just eternal stone. Once built, it stays stone. No crash on traffic spike, no SQL injection, no server to wake.
